Pastoral Protocols

A faithful pastor labors:

I.              FOR THE CHURCH’S JOY. (3:1a)

(a.)       Joy is found in Christ-centeredness.

II.            FOR THE CHURCH’S GROWTH. (3:1b)

(a.)       Growth demands repetition.

We need repetition because:

(1.)       We are prone to forgetfulness.

(2.)       We are slow to learn.

(3.)       We are spiritually embattled.

(4.)       We struggle with an appetite for truth.

(5.)       Repetition validates significance.

III.         FOR THE CHURCH’S PROTECTION. (3:2)

(a.)       God’s people must be warned.
